"I believe in relationships. That ties in with years of experience connecting with people. It's through building good relationships that I can provide effective help. I try to help people achieve their fuller potential. Many issues get in the way of that, but in counseling, we can step away from the things that block us and see other ways to solve life's challenges."

"I believe in people, in finding their strengths. I do a little bit of listening, a little bit of art work, a little bit of this and that. And laughter--laughter is very important. I take a strength perspective, but I'll challenge you to grow. I love working with clients of all ages, but I've been seeing more older adults and learning about honoring those life-and-death decisions."

"I believe in people--we are resilient and strong, with senses of humor and beauty and wonder. There really aren't any challenges people can't rise above. I also believe in the power of relationships. It is when we are isolated that we usually get lost. The power of the healthy relationship is the power of healing: It is how people know they are cared for, have purpose and meaning, and from there, how we care for each other, learn and keep healthy boundaries, grow in our lives."

“I believe that respect is integral to all relationships, including the relationship we have with ourselves. We all have worth and value, we all contribute to each other’s experiences; even those who contribute negatively to our overall experience are still teaching us something. It is my intention to create a warm, safe, and respectful space where we can explore these experiences together, to discover (or perhaps rediscover) who we are, and work toward healing and growth.”

“Every individual is completely unique, and I believe we all deserve to be seen and heard. I strive to create a space in counseling where people can be their whole selves and come to accept and strengthen who they are while also acknowledging their wounds. My humanistic, client-centered approach means that you are the most important element in your therapy. In order to decrease anxiety and depression while increasing self-worth, I employ CBT and mindfulness strategies. I enjoy working with a diverse population, including those with serious mental illnesses, substance use disorders, marginalized groups, and those who just need someone to listen."
